HP-SPME-600 Hydraulic Press For Straightenings

Hydraulic portal straightening press with motorized gantry and cylinder, ideal for straightening sheet metal and for various carpentry works.

Thanks to the longitudinal displacement of the upper frame, combined with the transversal movement of the cylinder, it is possible to reach any point of the sheet without having to move it from the workbench.

The stroke of the hydraulic cylinder is 500mm and the SPMC hydraulic press is available in models from 150 to 600 tons.

The movement of the gantry and of the cylinder (up and down, right and left) are managed through the use of 3 levers to be operated simultaneously with the control button, as required by current EC regulations in terms of safety.

The metal protection grids are also supplied as standard equipment.

The hydraulic portal straightening press, SPMC model, can be equipped and customized with the following optional accessories:

• Worktop totally welded to the base and bored on the surface
• Pendant control with 180° rotation with Rexroth solenoid valves and Siemens CPU
• Double button remote control with Rexroth solenoid valves and Siemens CPU
• Lifting cylinders inserted in the work surface
• Digital control with encoder and quota display inserted in the electrical panel
• Stem anti-rotation device
• Air / oil cooler and decompression valve

Maximum Pressure Valve

As a safety measure to guarantee the operator's safety and to safeguard the machine, a maximum pressure valve is installed inside the hydraulic control unit on all hydraulic presses produced by LIVAMACH.

The maximum pressure valve has the function of regulating the maximum pressure in the hydraulic circuit.

It is used to protect the pump and the other components of the system from excessive pressure and therefore to keep the level inside the hydraulic circuit constant.

It is a normally closed valve capable of opening when a predetermined pressure is reached and discharging the flow rate necessary to keep the circuit pressurized.

In fact, in the event of a malfunction of the hydraulic circuit, this safety valve prevents an excessive quantity of oil from reaching the cylinder, thus preventing the risk of overpressure.

Anchoring Electrical Cables

The tubes for the passage of the electrical cables are anchored to the press frame by means of special collars.

Unlike many competitors who use simple plastic ties that are destined to dry out and break quickly, these collars are made of highly resistant material and are screwed to the structure of the press.

Anchoring Hydraulic Pipes

As a safety measure, the hydraulic hoses of all the presses produced by LIVAMACH are firmly fixed to the machine frame using special collars which prevent any movement of the hydraulic hose.

These collars have the base welded to the frame, while the upper part is screwed.

Stopflex Anchor

All the presses produced by LIVAMACH include safety systems for anchoring the hydraulic pipes.

In fact, the force released by a flexible hose under pressure, in the event of the fitting slipping out, would be very dangerous for things or people nearby.

It is for this reason that the hydraulic tubes of all the presses produced by LIVAMACH are fixed using the Stopflex retention system, which was designed to stop the stroke of the pulled tube and prevent the force released inside it from triggering a fearful " whip effect” and at the same time flood the working environment with hydraulic oil.

Thanks to this system, in fact, the flexible hose is anchored to the system via a rope, thus guaranteeing full protection of the operators and the protection of the press and the workshop.

Current Transformer

The press works with a three-phase electrical system with a 400V power supply.

As a safety measure there is a transformer inside the electrical panel which reduces the current from 400V up to 24V, that is, up to a voltage that is not dangerous for human health.

In fact, in the event of a system malfunction, the current could propagate to the electrical panel, with the risk that the operator could suffer an electric shock when he presses one of the buttons on it.

LED Lights

The LED lights are a standard accessory of the PMM hydraulic straightening press.

They are mounted under the protective grilles of the hydraulic cylinder and allow the work area to be illuminated, thus making it easier for the operator to check the sheet metal straightening operations.

The lights are activated via a switch located on the electrical panel.

Protective Metal Nets

The hydraulic press is supplied as standard with a metal protection placed between the columns of the machine.

This protection secures the area of ​​transversal movement of the cylinder and prevents the risk of crushing the hands of a second operator between the columns and the cylinder flange.

This is to all intents and purposes an additional safety measure, which is not designed for the operator who operates the press, given that to operate the machine he must have both hands engaged to press the double buttons (or lever and button) , but rather for a possible second worker, who, despite the safety regulations expressly prohibiting it, accidentally finds himself operating in the work area of ​​the hydraulic press.

Digital Control with Siemens Touchscreen Display

With the Siemens touchscreen display you can set the following parameters:

• Maximum upstroke and downstroke of the hydraulic cylinder
• Pressure maintenance time on the lower platform
• Work pressure
• Decompression time
• Piece counter
• Prestop ascent/descent: function that allows you to stop the ascent or descent before reaching the quota, thus eliminating errors caused by speed and cavitation due to the weight of the mould. It guarantees an accuracy of 0.1mm.
• Alarm management

There is the possibility of storing 100 different programs with a progressive number.

You can choose between manual and automatic modes.

In automatic mode the cylinder rises automatically.

The stroke is read using a wire encoder.

The pressure is read using a transducer installed on the hydraulic control unit.

Air/oil Heat Exchanger

The air/oil heat exchanger is used to cool hydraulic circuit of the press and uses ambient air as a cooling source, which is conveyed onto the circuit via a fan.

It serves to prevent overheating of the hydraulic circuit and to maintain a constant oil temperature, thus avoiding damage to the hydraulic system and seals.

It is a particularly recommended accessory when the press needs to work continuously or for long production cycles.

When we install the heat exchanger we also mount the decompression valve to safeguard the cooling system.

On large tonnage presses we also mount the exchanger with recirculation and separate motor, for greater cooling effectiveness.

Stem Anti-Rotation Device

The anti-rotation device of the cylinder rod is a safety system which prevents twisting of the rod and therefore serves to keep any molds fixed to the cylinder in line.

This system is a sort of metal jaw with two holes: the stem is inserted inside the larger hole, while the guide rod slides through the smaller hole.

Remote Controller

Radio control with double buttons to operate the hydraulic press without the constraint of a fixed control panel or a pendant control panel with cable.

The radio control manages the ascent and descent of the cylinder, as well as its transversal movement. It also regulates the transversal and longitudinal displacement of the upright.

If the hydraulic press is equipped with lifting cylinders on the work surface, it also allows you to manage their movement.

Pendant Push-Button Panel

Pendant control panel with cable with double button operation to be pressed simultaneously.

It is a very useful accessory for hydraulic straightening presses, because it allows the operator to move freely around the machine and to closely control the pressing phases, which would not be possible with the fixed control with levers and buttons or with the pushbutton panel on the pedestal.

The pendant control panel manages the ascent and descent of the cylinder, as well as its transversal movement. It also regulates the transversal and longitudinal displacement of the upright.

If the hydraulic press is equipped with lifting cylinders on the work surface, it also allows you to manage their movement.

Lift Cylinders

The lifting cylinders are installed on the platform of the hydraulic press and have the function of lifting the sheet metal to allow the operator to position support shims underneath.

Once these shims have been placed, the cylinders are lowered and the metal piece can be straightened.

Subsequently, when the sheet metal processing is finished, the lifting cylinders allow the material to be raised and thus facilitate its handling.

The cylinders have a diameter of 25mm with a stroke of 80mm and each of them can lift up to 5 tons.

The customer can choose whether to install 6, 8, 10 cylinders or a higher number on request.

They are moved with the lever control on the hydraulic control unit (basic version) or with the pendant pushbutton panel or with the radio control.

Laser Scanning of Sheet Metal

The hydraulic straightening press, PMM model, can be equipped with the sheet metal laser scanning function.

This option consists of a laser that is installed next to the hydraulic cylinder. The laser beam measures the distance that separates it from the sheet metal placed on the press table and this information allows the operator to understand which points of the sheet metal need to be straightened.

The measurement values ​​are displayed in real time on the display located on the baler portal.
